History

The Tripod Group of companies was founded in 1980. The Group operates in Denmark and abroad as independent consulting engineers solely within Wind Energy areas. We have taken active part in the development of the wind turbine industry ever since it emerged from its grassroot beginnings.

Throughout the years it has been our aim to combine up-to-date theoretical knowledge with pragmatic hands-on know-how, at the same time setting a high standard for the quality of our work and for the service to our customers.

Our references comprise almost all Danish wind turbine manufacturers and power utility companies as well as public sector institutions including RISØ, the Technical University of Denmark, and other research institutions involved in matters concerning wind energy.

Our foreign customers count sources of finance and insurance companies, consultants, power utility companies, legal advisors, wind farm developers and owners, and many more - sometimes in cooperation with Danish government organizations.

We have participated in some 200 projects with wind turbines ranging from 11 kW to 4.0 MW, covering most of the wind-energy-active world.
